Getting to know The Helen Project actors:

LESLEY BERKOWITZ (Helen #5) is so happy to be working with ReVamp again. This fall she was part of the Artist Lab and last year while pregnant directed a piece in "Shit Men Have Said to Me" and was part of the Subject Project reading. Other works include: Chick in Crimes of the Heart ( Curio Theatre Company) Nathaniel in Love's Labours Lost (Revolution Shakespeare) Hattie in The Last Plot in Revenge ( Brat Productions) She has been a part of 2 roulette style readings as director on Coriolanus and actor for Bad Hamlet. When not in a theatre Lesley can be found at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts where she is a coach, special events coordinator and dilettante trapeze artist.

MARISOL CUSTODIO (Helen #2) is excited to be joining Revamp for "The Helen Project." She last performed in "Las Mujeres" (Powerstreet Theatre Company) as Minerva Mirabal. She has previously appeared in the original productions of Shelter in Place (Powerstreet Theatre Company), The Aftermath of Friday the 13th (Bucks County Playhouse). At Plays & Players, she has performed in The Secret Life of Wonder (Mz. Fest) and All the Dead Biddles (Underbite Theatre Company).. When she is not acting, Marisol teaches trauma sensitive yoga and works as a makeup artist. Marisol would like to thank Carly and Kristen for this opportunity.

HANNAH HAMMEL (Helen #6) is the co-founder and Marketing and PR Director of Spicy Witch Productions, a feminist theater company based in New York City. She has performed with various companies in the Philadelphia area including the Walnut Street Theatre, Aftershock Entertainment, Truth Be Told Productions, Ritz Theatre Company, Ignoble Shakespeare, Family Stages, and the Philadelphia Women's Theatre Festival. She is thrilled to be joining ReVamp for this project!

KASEY PHILLIPS (Helen #3) is an actor, playwright, and dramaturg that holds an MA in Theatre from Villanova University and a BA in Theatre and Creative Writing and from Florida State University. Some of her favorite credits include Joan in Lagan, under the direction of Philadelphia director, KC MacMillian and Chorus in Electra at Villanova Theatre. Kasey has recently written and performed a thesis solo performance entitled, Be(lie)ve, that depicts the controversy between the documentary film Blackfish and Seaworld Parks and Entertainment. Having just returned from her home state of Florida where she completed her first Equity Contract as an ASM onCabaret at the Florida Repertory Theatre, Kasey is excited to be back in Philly with ReVamp Collective. Last seen in the reading of, The Subject Project, Kasey is extremely thankful to have been invited back to collaborate with these incredible feminist theatre friends once more!

ONTARIA KIM WILSON (Helen #4) is a Philadelphia native whose passion and purpose in life is to bring hope to humanity through the arts. She has over 26 years in the entertainment industry with appearances both on stage, tv, and film. She is an original member of Rennie Harris Puremovement Hip Hop Theatre Company. She was a company member for six years. She is most noted for the following theatrical roles: Olivia in Olivia Lost and Turned Out; Lady Red in For Colored Girls (Directed by Frankie Darcell of WDAS FM) and L Arnold Productions (Rowan University); Sheila Dates in For My Man (TV One Episodic Series).
In 2012 Ontaria wrote and produced her first stage play ,The Healing, which propelled her to pursue the arts full time. To date she has birthed Detox which ran for 3 years before she turned it into a screenplay; and in July 2018 she will debut her most recent work “Beautiful Toxicity” which chronicles her travels to the middle east.
She was introduced to Revamp Collective this year when she was selected to direct the mini play Return of The Shogun in their Brief Physical Encounters Theatre Festival.
She is honored to be apart of such an amazing production and to share space with a power-filled group of women. Thank you Helen for telling your story!
