In The Terminus

In the Terminus was a workshop performance as part of the 2015 Philadelphia SoLow Fest. The piece was originally created and performed by Lisa Fischel and directed by Carly Bodnar. The show was performed in Carly's house as a site specific piece working to get theatre out of the traditional playing space.
"My house is haunted by rotten desire and on my skin left the scent of indignation…and so they say, Lord, for everything a reason” (Carina Round, “For Everything A Reason). In life we seek to quantify and qualify our experiences. We collect memories, people, pain, and hoard them as scars, ghosts, and trinkets. And when overwhelm sets in, some choose to take control of their fates, and end their journey in life. In the Terminus explores the nebulous towards the totality of death. What do we try to take with us? What inevitably is stripped from us? And what meets us through the light at the “end of the tunnel. (Much of the text in performance stems from “Character B” in Mark O’Rowe’s Terminus.)" -Lisa Fischel
